Polícia federal e militar reforçam combate ao crime em Foz do Iguaçu

A repressão ao contrabando e ao tráfico de drogas na fronteira oeste do Paraná teve um incremento significativo nos últimos dias, com uma série de operações da Polícia Federal e da Polícia Militar local. Essas ações ocorreram entre domingo (21) e a manhã de quarta-feira (24) e resultaram em sete apreensões e prisões nas margens do Rio Paraná, em Foz do Iguaçu. O objetivo das operações é combater organizações criminosas que utilizam o rio como rota para introduzir mercadorias ilegais no país.

As operações foram realizadas após o monitoramento de embarcações irregulares que estavam vindo do Paraguai. As equipes realizaram patrulhamentos tanto na água quanto em terra e também exploraram trilhas na vegetação próxima ao rio. Durante a ação, foram feitas abordagens a veículos que saíam da área ribeirinha, além de identificarem locais usados como depósitos clandestinos para armazenar produtos ilícitos.

O resultado dessas operações incluiu a apreensão de drogas, cigarros contrabandeados e pneus de origem estrangeira, que fazem parte de esquemas de descaminho e tráfico transfronteiriço. No início das operações, no domingo, cerca de 40 quilos de maconha foram encontrados em uma rampa pública de acesso ao rio, logo após um suspeito ter fugido ao perceber a presença policial. Na mesma noite, uma van com placas do Paraguai foi parada na Avenida Beira Rio, transportando 11 pneus.

Na segunda-feira (22), outras operações resultaram na apreensão de 46,2 quilos de maconha, que foram abandonados por suspeitos durante uma fuga pela mata. Na madrugada de terça-feira (23), outra van paraguaia foi abordada, trazendo aproximadamente 40 pneus. No decorrer do mesmo dia, em um depósito localizado no bairro Jardim América, foram confiscados 25 pneus e cerca de 5 mil maços de cigarros.

A maior apreensão de drogas ocorreu na noite de terça-feira, quando três pessoas foram presas transportando 134,7 quilos de maconha, logo após descarregarem a carga na região central da cidade. Na madrugada de quarta-feira, mais 3.500 maços de cigarros foram encontrados abandonados na margem do Rio Paraná.

De acordo com informações da Polícia Federal, essas apreensões refletem a estratégia das quadrilhas, que fragmentam suas cargas e utilizam pontos urbanos próximos ao rio para dificultar a fiscalização. As drogas apreendidas foram enviadas para a Delegacia da Polícia Federal em Foz do Iguaçu, enquanto os cigarros, pneus e os veículos utilizados nas operações foram entregues à Receita Federal. As investigações continuam com o objetivo de identificar outros envolvidos nas atividades criminosas e desmantelar a estrutura financeira desses grupos.
