Na última quinta-feira, 11 de outubro, a Polícia Federal, juntamente com a Polícia Rodoviária Federal, realizou uma operação em Rondonópolis que resultou na apreensão de 548 pneus contrabandeados. A ação se deu a partir de informações obtidas por meio de inteligência policial, que indicavam que um caminhão carregado com a mercadoria irregular havia sido carregado em um galpão destinado a armazenar produtos ilegais.
Durante a fiscalização no depósito, os agentes encontraram não apenas os pneus, que estavam prontos para serem distribuídos no mercado ilegal, mas também um veículo de luxo e um caminhão que era usado para o transporte dos produtos. Além disso, foram apreendidos cinco celulares, que serão analisados em perícia para auxiliar nas investigações.
Dois homens, considerados responsáveis tanto pela carga quanto pela administração do galpão, foram detidos e levados para a Delegacia da Polícia Federal. Eles permanecem à disposição da Justiça enquanto as investigações prosseguem.
